Apprentice Lineman / Journeyman Lineman

The City of Beatrice is accepting applications for a full time Apprentice Lineman or Journeyman Lineman.  Starting hourly rate is negotiable depending upon experience, plus benefits.  Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record. 
Must obtain a CDL endorsement within ninety (90) days from date of hire.
Must have completed an accredited entrance level line works course.
Possess a first class line workers license or certification preferred.
Completion of all requirements of the City’s Apprentice Journey Line Worker Program or successful completion of an equivalent four (4) year program as determined by Electric Superintendent and City Administrator preferred.

Essential job functions:

• Maintenance and construction of overhead and underground distribution and sub-transmission facilities.
  After-hours and on-call duty are required.
