Library Services
The Beatrice Public Library is a dynamic resource for the community, offering a wide range of services to meet the needs of all ages. There's something for everyone, from books and periodicals to free internet access, genealogy resources, and local history collections. The library’s innovative Makerspace features state-of-the-art equipment, including a 3D printer, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, heat press, button maker, laminator, and Cricut, providing creative opportunities for all. Enjoy engaging Children's Storytimes, thought-provoking book discussion groups, locally-produced exhibits, traveling displays, and cultural programs that celebrate the diversity of our community. As an integral part of the local government, the library remains a hub for information, education, and enrichment for all who visit.
Mission
The mission of the Beatrice Public Library is to provide open and equal access to knowledge, ideas, information, and commentary from around the world with opportunities for personal, professional, cultural, and recreational enrichment to all individuals in their pursuit of lifelong learning.
Donation Guidelines
We appreciate the community’s generosity, but the Library has recently received many donations that we are unable to utilize. Processing these items takes significant staff time, so we kindly ask donors to review the list below beforebringing materials to the Library.
The Library cannot accept:

Outdated reference books

Books in poor or damaged condition

Magazines (including National Geographic)
-
Textbooks
-
VHS tapes or audio cassettes

Encyclopedias or dictionaries
-
Bibles or Reader’s Digest condensed books

Computer software
