Landfill
The BASWA Landfill is located at 31229 SW 32nd Road
The Beatrice Area Solid Waste Agency (BASWA) operates the Landfill under Permit #0055158 and accepts municipal waste. Non-hazardous, special wastes are accepted, subject to approval from the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) and BASWA.
Acceptable & Prohibited Items
When bringing items to the Landfill, please have the following items separated from the load:
- Yardwaste, brush, and limbs;
- Batteries;
- Chemical containers;
- Paints and solvents (must be DRY, cannot be accepted in liquid form);
- White goods; and
- Tires
Items that are prohibited from disposal at the Landfill are as follows:
- Uncovered loads;
- Hazardous waste;
- Flammables, explosives, or corrosive items;
- Radioactive waste;
- Infectious waste;
- Sewer and septic sludges; and
- Liquids
