2026 Seasonal Laborer - Water Department

The City of Beatrice is accepting applications for a seasonal position in the Water Department for the 2026 Season from April 1 - September 30, 2026, working 40 hours per week. The starting wage range is $15.00 - $18.00 per hour. Hours of work are: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. The City would also consider a part-time position working up to 29 hours per week.

Job duties will consist of mowing, trimming, assisting the water crew in maintaining, installing, and repairing water mains, maintenance and repair of the water distribution collection systems, and other general labor duties.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age, with a valid driver's license, in order to operate power equipment and motor vehicles.
• High school diploma or GED is desirable.
• Experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform manual labor, including the ability to lift and carry 75 pounds or more, and be able to withstand all types of weather conditions.
