2026 Seasonal Laborer - Street Department

The City of Beatrice is accepting applications for a part-time seasonal position in the Street Department for the 2026 Season. The starting wage range is $15.00 per hour.  Hours of work are: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.  Job duties will consist of highway mowing and trimming, trimming trees, assisting the street crew in performing sign work, traffic painting, concrete and asphalt work, washing trucks, and other traffic-related duties.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age, with a valid drivers license, in order to operate power equipment and motor vehicles.
• High school diploma or GED desirable.
• Experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform manual labor, including the ability to lift and carry 75 pounds or more, and able to withstand all types of weather conditions.
