Monthly garbage and curbside recycling charges are included on all Board of Public Works customer’s utility bill. Out of town and commercial customers are invoiced separately.
MARS offers the following methods for customers to pay their invoices:
Pay Online
By creating an account or using your existing account at xpressbillpay.com, you can pay your monthly MARS invoice. All you need is your Customer Number and Last Name or Business Name!
Here’s how:
Go to www.xpressbillpay.com
- If this is your first time, select "Create New Account" and follow the steps. If you already have an account, log in.
- Once you are logged in, select the tab "Add Account".
- Type "City of Beatrice" in the search bar and select.
- For bill type, select "MARS" and enter in your Customer Number and Last Name or Business Name.
- Once the account is added, you can start making payments!

To pay your MARS invoice by phone using your credit or debit card, call (402) 228-5211 (Option 4) during business hours.
Pay in Person
To pay in person, visit the Board of Public Works utility billing office at 400 Ella Street during business hours.
