The City of
The City of Beatrice is accepting Firefighter applications until 12 noon on Thursday May 15, 2008. Applications are available at the office of the City Clerk, 400 Ella Street. Written tests will be conducted at 1:00 pm, followed by physical agility testing and oral interviews.

Carnegie Restoration Project

The Carnegie Building was completed in 1904 with a $20,000 grant from steel tycoon and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The Carnegie Center, Inc., is the local group that is trying to raise funds to restore the building. The group is trying to raise $400,000 in private donations toward the restoration of the building.
