The Beatrice Street Department is responsible for approximately 326 lane miles of hard surface and gravel streets. The Street Department also maintains all alleys throughout the City. Duties performed by the Street Department include concrete and asphalt patching, crack sealing, street sweeping, traffic related painting, mowing, culvert maintenance, storm sewer maintenance, sign installation, snow removal, mosquito fogging and larvicidal treatments.
