Nebraska Libraries Offer Downloadable Audio Books
Snuggle up at home in a comfy chair with a great audiobook download. Patrons of 25 Nebraska libraries now have any time, anywhere access to a dynamic collection of digital audiobooks through the new library service, Nebraska OverDrive Libraries.
Patrons of participating libraries can log onto the digital library website using a valid library card, install free software, and check out up to three titles at a time. Once checked out, audiobooks can be downloaded to the patron‟s PC, transferred to a supported MP3 player, or in some cases burned to CD. At the end of the 14 day loan period, audiobooks automatically expire and return to the collection.
This service is paid for by participating libraries, with financial support from the Nebraska Library Commission.
