Beatrice Fire & Rescue

Beatrice Fire and Rescue protects approximately 13,000 citizens within the city limits of Beatrice, approximately 8 square miles in area.  The Department also helps protect an additional 12,000 citizens within the Beatrice Rural Fire District, which covers an area of approximately 200 square miles.  We house the Rural Fire District’s fire apparatus and respond to fire and rescue calls within this rural area with the assistance of many rural volunteers.

Our Department is also involved with a mutual aid agreement which means, when called upon for assistance, we may respond anywhere within a 1,200 square mile area of Gage, Jefferson, and portions of Saline Counties in Southeast Nebraska.  We also operate a countywide ambulance service that covers an additional 600 square mile rescue district.

Our Department consists of three (3) shifts of full-time employees. We have an ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating of "3".
