WPC Department - Part-Time position

The City of Beatrice/Board of Public Works is accepting applications for a part-time position in the WPC Department. Starting wage is $11.00 per hour. Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Duties include general operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility, lift stations, and collection system; and assisting jetting and videoing sanitary sewer lines. Applications are available in the City Clerk’s Office or online. Police Department - Police Officer - (Posted 5/21/2018)

The City of Beatrice, Nebraska, is accepting applications for the position of a Police Officer.

The physical agility testing will be held at the Beatrice High School Sports Complex, 600
Orange Blvd at 6:00 p.m. on June 18, 2018 or 8:00 a.m. on June 19, 2018. If you are already a
certified Nebraska Law Enforcement Officer, you will not be required to complete the physical
assessment. You may choose which testing date you wish to attend. If the weather does not
cooperate that day, the physical assessment will be moved to the YMCA indoor facility. If you
have any questions regarding the physical assessment, please contact Officer Shane Maloley

Written testing will be held on June 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., in the old Council Chambers in the
City Auditorium, 205 North 4 th Street. Test will be scored upon completion and the top ten (10)
to eleven (11) applicants will be interviewed by the Civil Service Commission. Oral interviews
in front of the Chief of Police and Beatrice Civil Service Commission will be held on June 19, 2018
beginning at 6:15 p.m. These interviews will be held at the Beatrice Police Department, 201 North
5 th Street.

 

Seasonal - Parttime - Public Properties Department

The City of Beatrice Public Properties Department is accepting applications for a part-time seasonal position.  Starting wage is $9.00 per hour.  Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.  Work will be performed from June 1, 2018 to September 1, 2018.  Applications are available in the City Clerk's Office or online.  Applications will be received until May 25, 2018 or until filled.  Send applications to City Clerk, 400 Ella Street, Beatrice, NE 68310.  The City of Beatrice is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

 

Police Department - Public Safety Dispatcher

The City of Beatrice, is accepting applications for a full-time Public Safety Dispatcher position. Starting wage is $14.59 per hour, plus benefits. Essential job functions include receiving emergency and non-emergency calls from the public, and operating a multi-line telephone system and computer system. Position works twelve (12) hour shifts. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must obtain CPR certification within six (6) months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
