To sign up for once a week
Wednesday pickup - call the Public Properties Department at 228-5248.
- Cost: $7.50 per month and billed on your utility account.
- Limit of (5) containers of grass or (10) containers of leaves.
- No plastic bags - CONTAINERS ONLY.
Customers can sign up throughout the spring and
summer, however once on the program service must continue throughout
the month of November.
You may also drop off your yardwaste at the Beatrice
Recycling Center located at 11th & Caldwell or at the BPW Compost
Disposal Area located 2 miles south of Beatrice on Hwy 77 and 1

west on Spur to 136.
The Board of Public Works Compost Site hours are:
April 1st thru the end of November
Monday thru Saturday
8:00am - 8:00pm
The Recycling Center is operated by
Von Busch and Sons and operating hours are Monday
thru Friday 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

per auto
- $2.00 per pickup with 3 containers
- $3.00 lawn
care commercial pickups
Accepted: Plastic, newspaper,
phone books, corrugated cardboard, paper, aluminum, tin, batteries,
bi-metal cans, fluorescent bulbs.
